چکیده
Predicting building air change rates is a challenge for designers seeking to deal with natural ventilation, more and popular passive strategy. Among the methods available this task, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) appears most compelling, in ascending use. However, CFD simulations require range of settings skills that inhibit its wide application. With primary goal providing pragmatic application promote wind-driven ventilation assessments at design phase, paper presents study investigates integrating 3D parametric modeling CFD. From pre- post-processing, workflow addresses all simulation steps: geometry weather definition, including incident wind directions, model set up, control, results’ edition, visualization. Both indoor velocities (ACH) were calculated within procedure, which used test house measurements as reference. The explores alternatives platform’s frame display compute ACH parametrically generate surfaces where are computed. also discusses effectiveness reference building’s by analyzing outputs. proposed approach assists practical use designers, detailed information about numerical model, well enabling means cases, visualize, post-process results.

Using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques to model buoyancy-driven airflows has always proved challenging. This work investigates CFD modelling of buoyancy-driven natural ventilation flows in a single-storey space connected to an atrium. The atrium is taller than the ventilated space and when warmed by internal heat gains producing a column of warm air in the atrium and connect space ...

Abstract: In recent years, due to the limitation of fossil fuels and the environmental Impact of using these fuels, focusing on renewable energy sources has increased significantly. In developed countries, using clean energy such as wind power has been considered as an alternative source. Monitoring the performance of wind turbines and controlling their output power quality is one of the import...
متن کاملA parametric approach to 3D dynamic geometry
Dynamic geometry systems are computer applications allowing the exact on– screen drawing of geometric diagrams and their interactive manipulation by mouse dragging. Whereas there exists an extensive list of 2D dynamic geometry environments, the number of 3D systems is reduced. Most of them, both in 2D and 3D, share a common approach for the management of geometric constructions, using numerical...

Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technique, the dispersion contours and the exposure rate of Flexographic printing workers to VOCs in a printing department is evaluated. Firstly, VOCs distribution is determined in the printing room due to the existing ventilation system. Through next steps, 4 scenarios for lowering VOCs concentration and its exposure rate to workers are analyzed. Concen...
